The meetings feature enables the admin and teachers in e-maktab to schedule a meeting for parents and for admin to schedule meetings for both parents and teachers.
You can create and send meeting requests for a face-to-face meeting or for online meetings by entering the conference link if you use one, such as Zoom. When you create a meeting, the system will send out an email to the recipient with the meeting request. (Provided the parent/teacher has a valid email address if no email is found, the meeting request will not be sent but the meeting will be created)
The recipient can add this meeting to their calendar as the system will send the .ics file, which is widely supported by the majority of the email clients. The calendar invitation will also show the location, and this will be the location of the maktab address.
The recipient will be able to RSVP to the meeting.
The calendar has four different views (Month, Week, Day, and List) by default the week view will load which will enable you to see the weekly meetings for a given parent or teacher. You can toggle between each view.
When you click on a meeting a modal will open, in which you can then edit the details of the meeting if required. You can also drag and drop the meeting to a different slot in the calendar and this will move the meeting after you have accepted the confirmation prompt. Once saved an email will be sent to the recipient with the updated meeting date and time. You can also drag and the meeting vertically to change the duration.
To create a new meeting you need to select a time and drag it to the time you need the meeting to end (e.g. click on 9 am and drag with your mouse to 10 am) and this will open up the new meeting modal. You'll see the start date-time and end date-time will be populated for you from your selection and you can change it from there by clicking in the field and this will bring up the calendar for you to change the DateTime if required.
