Student CSV import allows you to import all your students data. The approach is the same as importing parents, however the student csv file will need headers and additional columns so we can link associated parent to students, classroom and student types.
Please follow the steps below for importing students:
Make a file with the following headers;
first_name, last_name, address, postcode, dob, status, gender, start_date, mobile, type, classroom, ethnicity_group, outstanding_fee
NOTE: The columns in orange are they key one which will link the associated records. Mobile is the mobile of the parent. type should be the name of Student Type, classroom should be the name of the classroom. These information should exist in the system before doing the import.
The columns in red are mandatory and needs to have a value, other columns can be left blank but they must be present.
Example: Lets say you've Weekends as type and B1 as classroom in the system. Under the type column you would insert Weekends and B1 under the classroom. They are case sensitive. And for mobile it needs to be the mobile of their parent so the student can be linked to that parent.
For outstanding_fee please insert what the student has remaining to pay for the year. If the student has nothing to pay insert "0".
If the student belongs to more than one classroom, in the classroom column specify the classes separated by comma. e.g. "class1, class2, class3"
For gender and status please insert one of the following from below, all lower case as shown.
Gender: male, female
Status: applied, enrolled, shortlist, waitinglist
DATE NEEDS TO BE IN THIS FORMAT YYYY-MM-DD (2016-12-25)
Once you're happy with the file and made sure all data is correct especially the three orange columns you can save the file as csv format and upload the file under Students > Import students
